This article is regarding demonstrations/protests etc. at the home fixture against Hull City on Saturday 13th September, mearly highlighting what other websites/fanzines have said and helping supporters make sure their voice is heard. With Kevin Keegan forced into leaving the club, Newcastle fans have been outraged to the point where many fans want the likes of Mike Ashley, Dennis Wise and Derek Llambias to leave the Club. With this in mind there will be a large display of anger at the match and we need to try and make our thoughts on the matter known, forcing the directors into a decision. Ideas such as boycotting the match have been put forward and for many, this is harder than it sounds. We have worked so hard to stay with our beloved club through the tough times, just to turn our backs on the players when they will most need our support. If this is the case with you then any of the following ideas are a possible route to take, all suggested by fanzines, forums and of course, Toon Ultras. We would ask however, that whatever form of protest you choose, that you choose to support your team throughout the match and under no circumstances boo, taunt or distract the players from the three points we would like to gain on Saturday. A call for an absolute and total boycott of all NUFC merchandise including football shirts, programmes, magazines, food and drink. Exactly what it says on the tin. Don't buy NUFC merchandise! An idea the club will hate, their achilles heal almost, their pockets. The en-masse cancellation of direct debits paying for next season's season tickets Again, restricting their cash flow. Protests inside SJP on match-day. Make your thoughts heard on match day. There may be a march around St. James', you can stay behind at the end of the match and refuse to leave, where fans will be singing non-stop. Flash Mobs in NUFC shop Large group of people suddenly go into the shop and start singing, things like that. Toon Ultras do not take any responsibility for damages or theft etc. It's down to the person themselves to choose how they act on the day. Stay Back Protest When in the stadium get as close to the back wall as you can, making it look like there is less people in the ground. Catches your attention and gets the point across that we, the fans, feel like we are left in the shadows by the directors. Don't Shop at Sports Direct, Sports Soccer and Lillywhites All owned by Mike Ashley. Stay in the ground after full time Just generally annoys the staff and stewards etc if you don't leave. Although an action like a pitch invasion would gain publicity it would effect the players, again, something we don't want. Many thanks to True Faith, Nufc.com for their protest ideas and excellent points. |
